Actress Brittany Murphy dead at age 32

Brittany Murphy November 10, 1977 - December 20, 2009

After going into cardiac arrest earlier today, actress Brittany Murphy died. Brittany was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

This is truly a sad day. I've enjoyed watching her character performances grow.

The most recent thing I've seen her in was the horrible Sci-Fi made for TV movie MegaFault which she starred in.

As soon as I saw she was starring in a movie that was made for the Sci-Fi channel I figured her career had to be in the toilet.

I had no idea she was having issues with her health. I'd love to say rent it, but it really was horrible.

Thank goodness she has other films to be remembered by. Here's the short list:

The celebrity death count is rising at a rapid pace this year. I think the Reaper might just hate celebrities. He doesn't even seem to care if they are barely celebs. He hates them all.

Billy Mays 1958 - 2009

Billy Mays was a TV pitchman, best known for hawking products like Oxyclean and OrangeGlow. Mays was a passenger this Saturday on a US Airways flight that made a rough landing in Tampa, FL. During the landing Billy Mays was struck in the head by items in the overhead, but Billy seemed to be unphased when he told reporters:

"It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head," .

His wife said Billy wasn't feeling well that evening and when she woke up the next morning she found him unresponsive. Billy Mays was 50 years old.

Farewell to Michael Jackson, dead at age 50. Michael was found dead Thursday, June 25th at his Holmby Hills home, the cause of death was found to be cardiac arrest. Paramedics were unable to resuscitate him and time of death was called when Jackson's body reached UCLA Medical Center.

Paul Newman Dies at 83

Screen legend and philanthropist Paul Newman has died of cancer in Connecticut at the age of eighty-three. Those who knew him, talk not only about his acting ability but also about how important he was as a person.

Newman spent millions of dollars building camps for sick children, and he also created the Newman's Own food line, which donates all of its profits to charity. It has raised millions of dollars already, and undoubtedly will continue to raise millions more.

Newmans career spanned more than 50 years, and he will be missed by the acting community and the public at large for a long time to come. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Newman had humble upbringings and even had some trouble in his early life. His rebound to become such a huge star and give back so much to others was a testament to the resiliency of the human spirit.
